ISA Wuhan STEAM Center is dedicated to building a future-oriented innovation education hub where interdisciplinary learning, hands-on making, and problem-driven inquiry converge. With a strong emphasis on emerging technologies and global challenges, the Center inspires students to ask critical questions, design impactful solutions, and bring their ideas to life through structured project-based learning.
At the heart of the Center's philosophy lies the commitment to student-centered learning, real-world application, and the integration of cutting-edge tools into education. It aims to nurture future leaders equipped with creativity, technical acumen, and a strong sense of global responsibility.
The Center is led by Mr. Jinlong Ruan, a seasoned educator and researcher in the field of computer science and innovation education.
Mr. Ruan holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science (B.S.) and Business (B.A.) from the University of Rochester, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science (M.S.) from the University of California, San Diego. He has conducted research under esteemed members of the European Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Inventors (USA).

With extensive experience in secondary computer science education, Mr. Ruan integrates academic rigor with real-world applications. He is committed to cultivating scientific research capabilities, ethical awareness, and a passion for lifelong learning among students.

Zhang Fan, PhD in Information Engineering, Postdoctoral Fellow in Mechanical Engineering, Associate Professor, and Master’s Supervisor.
Research interests include intelligent additive manufacturing, smart manufacturing, and artificial intelligence.
Has led 20 projects, including the National Key R&D Program, provincial and ministerial-level initiatives, and industry–academia collaborative projects.
Published over 30 scientific papers in domestic and international journals and applied for more than 20 intellectual property rights.
Tu Yiwen, PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Lecturer.
Research interests include additive manufacturing and robotics technology.
Has participated in and led eight projects, including the National Key R&D Program, provincial and ministerial-level initiatives, and industry–academia collaborative projects.
Published over ten scientific papers in domestic and international journals and applied for nine intellectual property rights.
Zhang Jun, PhD from Wuhan University of Technology, Secondary School STEAM Teacher.
Has led and participated in multiple projects at the provincial and municipal levels in Hubei and Wuhan.
Published over ten academic papers, including two indexed by SCI; holds more than ten authorized patents, including five invention patents.
Served for many years as a STEAM teacher in high school, guiding students to participate in competitions such as the China International College Students' Innovation Competition, the Global Future Space Scholars Meet, and Smart City innovation contests, winning multiple championships and gold awards.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Tsinghua University; awarded Second Prize in the 30th China Mathematical Olympiad (CMO).
With an academic foundation in traditional engineering, possesses an interdisciplinary background that integrates mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
Previously worked at a well-known education and training unicorn enterprise, contributing to research and selection for the Strong Foundation Program.
